Located in Central Morocco, Sidi Abed is a heavy right point break that offers up some powerful lips and sections when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty heavy and break for up to 100 meters over a variable sandbar/reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Sidi Abed?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if small and a shortboard when bigger. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here hardly breaks (2/10) and will be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temperatures drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
