Located in Central Morocco, Imsouane is a fun right-point break that offers up a good performance-based but mellow wave. The waves here are not always easy to surf and break for up to 150 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Imsouane?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) which can lead to some crowds (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on a low to mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temps drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
