Located in Galicia, Muinelos is a fun beach break that offers up consistent, quality waves perfect for performance manoeuvres. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. A picturesque spot with a pine forest in the background.
What are the best surf conditions for Muinelos?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when the waves are smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer depending on the size. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will usually have a crew on it, especially on weekends (6/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the North and Northwest. Works on all tides but low is best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 19 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
