Located in Galicia, Spain, Valdovino is a fun beach break that provides some good waves for manoeuvres especially when other breaks are not producing. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a smooth sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Valdovino?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and will always have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 19 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temps drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
