Located in Galicia, Spain, San Xorxe is a fun beach break that offers up some fun performance peaks between the rip currents. The waves here were pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for San Xorxe?
Gets good between waist-high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (5/10) and always has a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on a low to mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 19 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
