Located on the North Shore of Oahu, Walls is a fun little reef break near Haleiwa that can offer a fast and sometimes hollow right-hander. The wave can be difficult to surf and breaks for up to 200 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Walls?
Gets good from waist-high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard or a shortboard or stepping up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (4/10) and will generally have a crew but not as crowded as the more well-known breaks (6/10). The best swells are from the North and Northwest. The best winds are from the Southeast. Works on all tides.
Boardshorts and bikinis are good year-round here. Water temperature ranges from 24 to 27. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
