Located on the North Shore of Oahu, Outside Puaena Point is on the far Northeast corner of Haleiwa harbour. This break is a great barreling right-hand reef that offers a ride of up to 200 meters. Really this wave will break very small and is perfect for beginners on the inside and on big swells gets good even for tow teams on the outside. Take care as the waves are heavy here.
What are the best surf conditions for Outside Puaena Point?
Gets good between overhead and triple overhead. We recommend riding a step-up or gun as the size increases. This break is good for advanced-level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get insanely crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works on a mid-tide best.
