Located in Sumba, Indonesia, Pero Lefts is a quality reef break that offers up refracting bowl sections serving up some deep barrels. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef. Holds size very well.
What are the best surf conditions for Pero Lefts?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up here as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. In the summer water temperatures rise to 28 degrees before falling only to 25 in the winter. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
