Located on the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, Eoropie is an excellent beach break that offers up long barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Eoropie?
Gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up as the size increases here. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works best on a low to mid-tide.
We recommend wearing a 4/3 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 14 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
