Located on the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, Dalmore is an excellent beach break that offers up some great sections for performance manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. Fun when smaller, serious at size.

What are the best surf conditions for Dalmore?

Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will usually have a small crew on it (6/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on a low to mid-tide best.

We recommend wearing a 4/3 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 14 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
