Located in Galicia, Spain, Caion is a decent beach break that offers up some fun peaky summertime waves. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. Not polluted with lifeguards and showers.
What are the best surf conditions for Caion?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get a bit crowded in the summer (7/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on low to mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 19 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
