This establishment is in a lovely setting, but I can’t remember experiencing a less professional approach to customer service in at least the last 20 years of travel.
We arrived parched and a little dusty after a long, beautiful mountain bike ride to the hotel. After being ignored for a few minutes, we were eventually shown to our room only to find several of our bags were missing. The manager immediately blamed our tour operator and then not only blamed the luggage delivery service, but lied to us and told us that she had only been given one bag by the driver. Quite a few phone calls and anxious minutes later, the hotel found the three other pieces of luggage – the hotel was solely responsible for this mishap, but it was truly surprising to hear them blame other well-established, well-regarded businesses rather than accept responsibility.
Breakfast was understaffed and very uninspired. Internet access only in a common area adjacent to reception, not in rooms.
When the manager showed up twenty minutes late the following morning, she walked right by us, refusing to even acknowledge us. Several other groups were waiting for her, but she left them waiting around as well.
We’ll likely never forget the rude, callous customer service approach we received here.
