Located in La Côte Basque, France, Erromardie is a fun reef break that puts out some easygoing sections perfect for longboarding. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Erromardie?
It gets good from waist-high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when the waves are smaller and a shortboard when the size steps up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here is not consistent (4/10) and will usually have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the southeast. The best swells are from the north, northwest, and west. It works best on mid to high tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21°C (70°F). In winter, a 5/4 wetsuit is the call when water temperatures drop to 12°C (54°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
