Located in Gironde, France, Montalivet is a fun beach break that doubles as a nude tourist center. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a sand bottom. When conditions are favorable, the waves offer good sections for maneuvers.

It gets good between waist-high and double overhead. A longboard is recommended when the waves are smaller, while a shortboard is better for when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can generally be crowded (7/10). The best winds are from the east. The best swells are from the northwest, southwest, and west. It works on all tides.
