Located in Gran Canaria, El Confital is a world-class reef break that offers up some of the best right-hand barrels in Europe. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 150 meters over a rocky bottom. Bring our a-game for these waves, they are no joke.
What are the best surf conditions for El Confital?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up here as the size picks up. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get pretty busy at times (5/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 22 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temps drop to 17 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
