More on Quintanilla – Gran Canaria

Located in Gran Canaria, Quintanilla is a fun reef break that breaks left and offers up a steep performance wall perfect for manoeuvres. The waves here can be challenging to surf and the paddling ask is high. The waves break for up to 150 meters over a boulder and sand bottom. Gets better as it gets bigger.

What are the best surf conditions for Quintanilla?

Gets good between chest-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up as the size picks up. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and hardly ever crowded (3/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on a mid to high tide best.
