The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rock bottom. There is also the beach break in town is suitable for all levels of surfers.

What are the best surf conditions for Playa Del Coco?

Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the Northwest and West. Works on a mid to high tide best.
