Located right on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Guvvos (also known as hut gulley) is a fun and punchy beach break with a sandy bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and can break for up to 100 meters, providing fun sections for manoeuvres as well as barrels if the conditions line up.
What are the best surf conditions for Guvvos?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding your longboard, standard shortboard, or step up when bigger here. All levels of surfers can find success and fun here. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get ridiculously crowded when it is good, especially on weekends and holidays (9/10). The best winds for Guvvos are Northwest, and it works on all tides. The best swell direction is from the Southwest.
