Located in the Sydney Area, New South Wales, Voodoo is an excellent left hand reef break that offers up big heavy barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here are gnarly at size and break for up to 100 meters over a rocky reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Voodoo?
Gets good between chest-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard when smaller and a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediates up when small but advanced surfers only when the real swells arrive. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get busy when smaller (5/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the South. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temperatures drop to 16 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
