Located on the Wild Coast of South Africa, Presley’s Bay is an alright beach break that offers up some fun peaks on most swells. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Presleys Bay?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the East and Southeast. Works best on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in summer when water temperatures rise to 26°C (78.8°F). In the winter, a spring suit might be best as temps drop to about 21°C (69.8°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
