Located in Northern Morocco, Briech is not a bad beach break that offers up some decent sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. A couple of river mouths can bring some pollution.
What are the best surf conditions for Briech?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will get busy on weekends and holidays (5/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is good for the 18-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
