Located on the Bukit Peninsula, Bali, Nyang Nyang is a fun reef break that offers up a punchy right-hander perfect for ripping into as well as the occasional barrel. This is the most exposed spot on the island, if it is flat here it is flat everywhere. Watch out for rips and sneaker sets. This is also one of the most beautiful spots in the Bukit area.
What are the best surf conditions for Nyang Nyang?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here when smaller and a step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and generally uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Northwest and West. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on a high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. In summer water temperatures rise to 29 degrees before dropping only to 25 degrees in the winter. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
