Located on the Bukit Peninsula, Bali, Green Balls is a fun reef break that offers up a punchy right hander with walling and barreling sections. This spot is pretty heavy and plagued with currents, breaking for up to 200 meters over a coral reef. It is very swell exposed and any wind will rip it up. Get on it early and be careful.
What are the best surf conditions for Green Balls?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is very consistent (9/10) and will have a crew on it (6/10). The best winds are from the Northwest and West. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year round. Water temps fluctuate between 29 and 25. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
