Located in the Maldives, Love Charms is a consistent high performance left’hander. It is almost always breaking, and is often picture perfect. On a low tide, with small swell, Love Charms breaks in two main sections. Bigger swells and higher tide offers up a long and hollow wall, with barrels to be had. It is a great bet on any given day, as it handles any tide and size, from two to ten feet. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Love Charms?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the South or Southwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures fluctuate between 29 and 27. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
