Located in Asturias, Xago is a fun beach break that puts up some good waves for turns and hacks. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom. A good wave to check when it’s to small everywhere else.
What are the best surf conditions for Xago?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (8/10) and can get crowded accordingly (8/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temps drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
