Located on the Big Island in Hawaii, Honokane Bay is a fun fringe of reef that offers up steep rights and lefts that serve up some power. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.

What are the best surf conditions for Honokane Bay?

Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be very uncrowded (2/10). The best winds are from the southwest. The best swells are from the Northeast. Works on a mid-tide best.
