More on 2nd Beach (Sachuest)

Located in Rhode Island, 2nd Beach or Sahuest is a beach break that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres. This beach faces Southwest, so needs a massive swell to filter into the bay.

What are the best surf conditions for 2nd Beach?

Gets good from waist-high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and is almost always uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on all tides.
