Located off of Rhode Island, Bailey’s Beach is a decent beach break that peels over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some good barrels for tubes when the conditions line up.
What are the best surf conditions for Bailey’s Beach?
Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when it is smaller and a shortboard when bigger. The break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The waves do not get good here often (3/10) but it is always uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the East, South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is necessary for the 3-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
