More on Vilano

Located in Northeastern Florida, Vilano is a jetty wedge setup that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing some barrels for you. This is very much a shore break barrel that is popular with spongers. If you fall you might be introduced to the shallow bottom.

What are the best surf conditions for Vilano?

This spot gets good from head high to overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here to fit into the steep pocket. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here hardly ever breaks well (2/10) and can get crowded when it is good (7/10). The best winds are offshore from the West. The best swells are big and from the Northeast.
