Located on the east coast of Florida, Atlantic Beach is a decent beachie that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some great, easygoing sections for longboarding and cruising.
What are the best surf conditions for Atlantic Beach?
Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here every day. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here is not super consistent (4/10) and is usually insanely crowded (9/10). The best winds for this break are from the West. The best swells are from the Southeast. Works best on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 28 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 4/3 when water temps drop to 15 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
