Located in South San Diego County, Coronado City Beach is a fun beach break that offers some peaky barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom.
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when small and a shortboard then a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here sometimes has waves (4/10) and will get insanely crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works on a high tide.
