More on Little Point

Located in La Jolla, San Diego County, Little Point is a fun reef peak that offers up lefts and rights barreling quickly down the line. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rocky reef.

What are the best surf conditions for Little Point?

Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and will be packed (8/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Southwest or West. Works on a high tide best.

We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer here when water temperatures rise to 20 degrees. More...
