Located in Pembrokeshire, Wales, Manorbier is a fun right reef break that offers up some good sections for manoeuvres. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rocky bottom. There are also some beach break sandbars on the inside. Gets good on the high tide at the mellow right-hand reef. Keep an eye out for some low tide beach peaks In the shade of the castle!
What are the best surf conditions for Manorbier?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will always have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on high tide but the beach break works better at low.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 8 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
