Located on Rottnest Island, Strickland Bay is a fun reef break over a rock bottom. The waves here are challenging but rewarding. The reef itself is shallow, and many surfers exit the water with scrapes and bruises. Some waves can break for up to 200 meters, serving up barreling sections where you can pull in and snag some tube time, as well as walls fit for carves.
Gets good between waist-high to triple overhead. We recommend riding your gun, longboard, or standard shortboard here. Strickland Bay is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers.
