Narrabeen Beach is quite long and can develop a few good sandbanks between North Narrabeen and Collaroy. Just check along the beach by ducking down any side street of Ocean Street and you will get a view of the waves.
Southy’s waves are usually short, punchy and can get heavy! Often producing barrels in medium to big swells. Best waves are when the swell is medium to large out of the NE to East and the wind is offshore. When this is the case you just need to find a sandbank. Good barrels on offer. Super bank dependant. Prefers a mid-tide. Can turn on and off quickly. Its one of those spots that you’ll check a lot and only get in an every now and then when the planets align!
Not really a learners wave as it all happens quickly but fun for the experienced surfer.
