Located in Northern Morocco, Oued Cherrat is not a bad beach break that offers up some decent waves for performance manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf well and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom, although there are bits of rock dispersed on the bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Oued Cherrat?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard as the size increases. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is somewhat consistent (5/10) and will be crowded with bodyboarders at all times (8/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temperatures drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
