Located in Punta Hermosa, Peru, Senoritas is a fun left-hand point break that offers up powerful walls breaking over three distinct sections of reef that, at times, link up. The waves here are heavy and challenging, breaking for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a rock bottom. These rocks are covered with urchins and skin-ripping barnacles. Take care.
What are the best surf conditions for Senoritas?
Senoritas gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard, and then a step-up as the size increases. This break is suitable for good intermediates and advanced surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works best on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to about 20°C (68°F). In winter, a 3/2 is best when water temps drop to 16 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
