Located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Jacone is a fun beach break that offers up some rippable waves when the conditions line up. The waves here are not always easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a sand bottom. Watch out for some pollution.
What are the best surf conditions for Jacone?
It gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard, then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. It works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summers when water temperatures rise to 26°C (79°F). In the winter, a spring suit will work when water temperatures drop to 21°C (70°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
