Located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Itauna is an excellent left-hand reef break that offers up large and clean conditions often, suitable for ripping into. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a rock and sand bottom. The inside rights are often good as well, referred to as “Expresso.”
