Located in Littoral Paulista, Brazil, Camburi is an excellent left-hand reef break that offers up some rippable walls when the conditions line up. The waves here can be challenging and break for up to 100 meters over a rock and sand bottom. It needs a big swell to start working.
What are the best surf conditions for Camburi?
It gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard, then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get insanely crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South and Southeast. It works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round as water temperatures range between 29°C (84°F) and 26°C (79°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
