Located on the South Shore of Oahu, Tracks is an excellent long reef that produces high performance oriented lefts and rights. The lefts tend to be better in the summer and the rights really turn on in the winter. The waves here can get a bit heavy and break for up to 200 meters over a coral reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Tracks?
Gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will get quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the East or Northeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures range between 27 and 24. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
