Located in Palm Beach County in South Florida, Lake Worth Pier is a fun pier break that rolls over a sand bottom. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres. Local vibes are not nice.
What are the best surf conditions for Lake Worth Pier?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can get crowded with nasty locals when it is working (8/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, North, and Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 30 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing the same thing as water temps only drop to 23 degrees. See the water temperature chat below for more data on this.
