Located in Del Norte County, California, Enderts Beach is a decent beach break that offers up some powerful waves when the conditions line up. These waves are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand and rock bottom. This spot does not work often and is rarely surfed. It is unsurfable for most of the winter.
What are the best surf conditions for Enderts Beach?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller, then a shortboard or step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the West. These swells need to be long period and very organised to make this break worthwhile. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing a 5/4 here year-round. Water temperatures range between 9 and 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
