Located in Aceh, West Sumatra, Indonesia, Lampuuk is a quality beach break that offers up a more relaxed wave riding experience than the heavy surrounding reefs. The waves here can be a bit tricky when bigger, and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Lampuuk?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will get busy at times (5/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
