Located in West Sumbawa, Indonesia, (and right in front of Nomad Tropical Resort), Tropical is an excellent pair of breaks. On one side of the channel is a long rippable left-hander. On the other is a fast and hollow right. Both break for up to 150 meters over a coral reef bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Tropical?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then a step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the North and Northwest. The best swells are from the Northeast, South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on all tides.
