Located in West Sumbawa, Indonesia, Super Suck is an excellent left hand reef set up that offers up a sucking barrel when the conditions lien up. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 150 meters over a coral reef. The waves tend to cap a bit on the outside first before throwing out hard on the inside. High risk and reward.
What are the best surf conditions for Super Suck?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size picks up here. This break is suitable for advanced surfers due to the shallowness and sharpness of the reef. The surf here is very fickle (2/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the East or Southeast. The best swells are from the Southwest or West. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year round. Water temperatures fluctuate between 29 and 25 here year round. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
