The Anne Judith II Surf Charter has quite the interesting history. She was originally launched in 1944 as a Royal Navy Vessel that saw service in the North Sea as a fishing boat, and in WWII as a minesweeper. After major refitting in Perth, Australia and Bali, the Anne Judith has now been operating for over 20 years as a charter boat across Indonesia. Exclusive adventures are focused on journeys to the remote Malukus, Papau, East Sumbawa and Sumba. The crew of the Anne Judith are masters at presenting you with some of the most pristine, less traversed routes and perfect waves that have never seen a crowd.
The vessel is large and spacious, and in fact when not on surf charters accommodates weddings, events and parties with up to 25 passengers. However, for live-aboard trips, the focus is on small groups of 6-8 guests. Sleeping quarters includes a dorm style cabin with 4 large single beds, and two suites with double beds and private showers. The showers have hot water. All cabins are air conditioned, and with plenty of room to move and stow your belongings. The cozy common space presents movies on most nights from the TV/DVD player, has a great stereo system, and is on the bow, making it wonderful for watching the sun dip down in breathtaking sunsets. There is also a satellite phone that enables you to call home from remote areas.
The chef on board will delight you daily with grilled specialties in the built in BBQ. The dining room seats 8 in comfort where you are served 3 meals per day. You’ll relish in huge breakfast omelets to energize your surf. Hearty lunches and dinners include both local Indonesian cuisine as well as Western favorites with a fresh fruits, vegetables, rice, noodles, and a variety of meats, chicken, and of course daily caught fish and seafood. The beer is complimentary.
