Located in Southern France next to the Nice airport, St-Laurent Du Var is a fun river mouth break that can serve up some long muddy barrels. The waves here break left for up to 200 meters over a sand bottom, peeling quickly through the hollow sections of the wave. Watch out for strong currents and pollution.
What are the best surf conditions for St-Laurent Du Var?
Gets good from waist-high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when it is smaller and a shortboard when the size steps up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is not consistent (4/10) and can get packed when it is breaking (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
