More on Route Des Sanguinaires

Located on the island of Corsica in France, Route De Sanguinaires is a collection of excellent reef breaks that offer up mostly rights that mostly barrel. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters over shallow rock bottoms.

What are the best surf conditions for Route Des Sanguinaires?

Gets good between waist-high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when swell hits. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is not super consistent (4/10) and the locals can be protective at times (5/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the Northwest, South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
