A few kilometers south of Biarritz, Bidart Centre is a beautiful and more chilled-out spot, perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers, but also longboarders. It offers rights and lefts that break onto a sandy/rock bottom.
Bidart works from 1ft and can hold up to 8ft. It works at all tides but low to mid is usually better. With a NW swell and easterly wind, you will get some awesome sessions and might spend hours in the water. The northern part of the spot usually offers a short fast right and a longer very fun left.
As the town is not as famous as Biarritz, the spot is usually less crowded and with a pleasant family atmosphere. But it still gets a bit busy during Summer, especially with kids.
